How Connecticut calculates registration

The registration fee is flat, but Connecticut layers on several small charges including a Clean Air Act fee and the Passport to the Parks fee. Electric vehicles are exempt from the Clean Air Act fee and pay no EV surcharge. Towns bill motor vehicle property tax separately.

Renewal cycle: see DMV notice.
