What to know about Wyoming

Dealers generally do not collect this tax. You pay the county treasurer yourself within 65 days, and after day 66 interest of 1 percent a month plus a penalty applies. The rate is your county of residence, not where you bought the car. Extended warranties, rebates assigned to the dealer and gap insurance are excluded from the taxable price.
